The Dori Award for Emerging Architecture is an annual accolade presented to registered architects and architecture students, emphasizing the significance of innovative architectural solutions.
The competition entry, "Therapeutic Soil", envisions a rehabilitation farm designed to host war victims. This sanctuary leverages nature's calming influence to facilitate healing, offering tranquility within a restorative environment. The design features round yurts and pathways constructed from light material as self-build units, promoting versatile use, mobility, and minimal environmental impact. Elevated above the ground, these yurts allow vegetation to flourish beneath them. Therapeutic offerings encompass agricultural therapy and tailored programs, complemented by opportunities for social and creative engagement, fostering a sense of healing and belonging.
